How did you become a personal trainer?
I have always enjoyed sports, keeping myself in shape and competing in Triathlons. In 2003 I decided to get my formal qualifications in Professional Personal Training & Nutrition in order to start my own business. I trained and qualified with leading fitness industry professionals - Future Fit, in London. Since then I have increased my knowledge through attending more advanced training courses to keep me abreast of current fitness and nutrition trends.
What areas are you qualified in?
- Advanced Personal Training
- Fitness Instruction
- Boxercise Instruction
- Kettlebell Instruction
- Advanced Nutrition
- Nutrition & Weight Management
- Circuit Training
- Core Stability Training
- Mat Pilates
- First Aid
- CRB Checked
Are you insured?
Yes, I have £5m Public Liability Insurance.
How do you keep fit?
I do cardio-vascular training 4-5 times a week, which normally involves cycling, running or swimming. In addition I do 2-3 strength and conditioning training sessions a week. Other than this I enjoy having a kick about or a wrestle in the garden with my kids!
Do you enjoy cooking?
Prior to becoming a Personal Trainer I was a Chef! I studied at Belgium's leading Hotel School and since then have worked in some of the finest Restaurants and Hotels in Belgium and London. So, yes, I love cooking and as a family we enjoy eating well. It's great to combine these skills with the knowledge I have acquired through the Nutrition Courses I have since studied. I offer all my clients a Nutrition Assessment and can provide them with practical advice on cooking more healthy versions of their favourite meals.
As an additional service, I offer Cooking Parties, where I can come to your home to give you healthy cooking lessons or a demonstration. You and your friends can then enjoy eating for lunch what they've just watched me cook.
Why should people choose you as their Personal Trainer?
Many of my clients have been training with me now since I started KB Fitness & Nutrition.
I have a broad client base of men & women, from 25 - 65 years old, from all walks of life. They like the fact that I offer a friendly, professional and individual approach to their fitness training. I genuinely care about their health and wellbeing, and thus offer a flexible service, which fits around their lifestyle.
Are you a member of any Fitness Organisations?
Yes, I am a Level 3 member of REPS - The Register of Exercise Professionals. Being a member of REPS allows me access to a number of exclusive training courses and advice on new training techniques. As a client, it also gives you the peace of mind to know that all of my qualifications are fully checked out and endorsed by the industry's regulating body.
